Yesterday Finn tripped and fell onto a cactus in our front yard. It’s safe to say that this is something you definitely want to avoid if you can manage it. Luckily only one hand connected with the spikes but that one hand had about twenty spikes stuck in it my the time I grabbed him two seconds later.
Now this the sort of moment that makes everyone freak out. And while Finn did cry and then howl a bit he also let me hold is hand still and take each and every one of these spikes out. As you would expect his hand was sore for a few hours but once Nicky put a bandage on the hand Finn was pretty happy really.
I think he’ll be a little more careful of spiky plants now. And we’d worry less about such catastrophes now that we know they are really pretty easily fixed.
ow. ow. ow. ow. ow!
That hurts even to read about.
Finn’s very brave and I hope he is on the mend.
He was very brave and was mended within hours really. I think he wanted the bandage just do we all knew what an ordeal he’d been through and fair enough really.
