Finn had his first swimming lesson today. He did go to lessons with Mark when he was a tiny tot, but this was his first proper one. He loved it and (in my completely unbiased view) did brilliantly.
He was willing to attempt everything the teacher asked him to do. He waited patiently for his turn, although the splashing did get a bit much at times. He was friendly towards the other kids. In short, he was a complete angel.
Finn took Leila down the slide and was quite terrific about it. I know Leila appreciated it and, as you can see, he had a big smile on his face.
Just the other night Finn told me that he couldn’t sleep because his big Thomas engines were talking about God.
Now I don’t want to step on the religious expression or experiences of plastic toys but I did tell them to save it for the morning. Then, happily, Finn was able to go to sleep.
I am quite certain that Finn would just love Jedi School. The only minor catch is that when I asked him if he is a Jedi he tells me that he can’t be because he’s not made of lego.
While out shopping…
Finn - “Can we have some donuts?”
Mum - “No we can’t have donuts anymore because Mum and Dad are fat.”
