Who’s been sleeping in my bed

30 06 2006

The other day I happened to come across a certain tabby cat sleeping on Finn’s new bed.

Just Blankie, Dummy and me

We’ll be calling him Goldilocks from now on.

Turning Japanese

28 06 2006

Now Finn wants to go to Japan.

McCubbin

25 06 2006

Finn has a wonderful time in at the children’s garden but happily failed to get properly lost.

Thomas On Top

25 06 2006

Finn’s favourite things, above all others, are his Thomas trains and Thomas stories. He is not completely one-eyed however and will sometimes want a Dr Suess story for a few minutes between Thomas books.

Foozley Cart

20 06 2006

I know that it will be a while before Finn has the coordination to play video games but all the same I have set him up with Mario Kart which he loves so far. He knows the green button makes the car go forwards, the red makes it go backwards and another button makes the characters wave. More importantly he loves it when the cart crashes into something.

I might be wrong but I think he also calls Mario Kart “Murray”.

Finn and the big boy bed

17 06 2006

Finn has been able to hop in and out of bed at will for a few weeks now. At first he did it by climbing over the side of his cot, then we made a door in the bed for him by removing a couple of bars from one side. Today we converted his cot into a real bed.

Finn & Mark testing out the 'new' bed

Along with a mattress and sheet, Finn got a new doona and a Thomas doona cover to go with it. We were going to make do with his cot doona for a while, but thought the Thomas cover might help convince him to stay in bed (fingers crossed).

Goatesque

17 06 2006

One of the things Finn is obsessed by at the moment, along with Thomas, is his Baby Einstein DVDs. One of them is called Baby Van Gogh and has Vincent Van Goat painting many of the better known works.

The other day we picked Finn up from childcare and he pointed to a print of The Starry Night and said “Goat painted” with great conviction which, I guess as far as he knows, is true.

A Big Finn Thank You

13 06 2006

After testing the patience and goodwill of his Aunt Bee and Aunt Big with his antics on Sunday night I am sure Finn wants to send them a big thank you for all their efforts, I know his grateful parents do.
