Finn is finally getting the hang of what getting presents is all about and was ever curious about what would come out of the big red sack next.
Finn’s Christmas’ this year was all about spending time with his cousins. Sadly we didn’t take any photos at the O’Meara Christmas but this photo is him with his big cousins on Nicky’s side of the family.
Big or small he had a great time with them and a really good Christmas generally.
Here is Finn’s Christmas photo for 2005. We took it a few weeks back I just didn’t realise that it wasn’t here on his site.
As you can see Finn had Christmas in the bag.
Both Finn and I are wearing tops with Tigger on them which prompted him to say.
“Tigger Finn, Big Tigger Dad” which I thought was downright clever.
We went to the Christmas party at Finn childcare on Friday and here he is with his present from Santa and a biscuit.
After we had been to the shops Finn started talking about his shoe at some length. That was when I realised we were one short when it came to sandles on feet. I figured it must be in the car as I would have noticed if I had wrestled a one-footed toddler into the car.
I figured wrong.
The spot we had was really close to the entrance I knew that I wouldn’t get another spot that good in a hurry and didn’t much feel like searching in and around cars with a toodler in tow. My plan was to go back once all the shops closed and see if by some miracle it was still there.
A few minutes ago my mobile rang. Not only had someone found it and called the name on the tag but it was someone from his childcare centre who realised they knew Foozley (bless all their cotton socks). So she’ll take it into work tomorrow and we’ll collect the perfectly fitting sandle from there.
So hoorah for helpful folk.
Here Finn is in his new inflatable bed which is for camping and staying over places. He probably doesn’t need his portacot for much longer and it is a bit massive to be taking camping again.
I guess we’ll have a few adventures in getting him to stay in bed but we’ll cross those bridges (and sleepless nights) when we get to them.
Finn is obsessed with the Christmas tree and especially the decorations. Because he is normally so rough with it we have been telling him to leave it alone but this morning he was being ever so gentle so I let him have a play which he really enjoyed.
The other day we were at the supermarket when a women walked past and said hello to Finn which is not that unusual. The two things that make it worth mentioning is that she actually said “Hello Finn” and that neither of us had even seen her before.
She is probably a mum from childcare but I figure she might just read the Herald-Sun and have a really good memory or else read this page.
I guess one of these is much more likely than the others.
