Finn has had a beanbag for a while but it is better for lying in than sitting on. So when we saw this at K-mart it seemed just perfect for a boy.
He seems to like it and is sitting happily in it now watching Play School.
Unfortunately Foozley has been a bit ratty since his Mum has come home. The timing isn’t good but you can hardly blame him. Things have been far from normal for a couple of weeks and that must be confusing and then some when you are only small and don’t understand many words.
But for all of that he is all smiles whenever he seems his Mum and she is just delighted to be close to him.
Finn is getting very good at climbing up and down from chairs and couches these days. He was especially interested in Grandad’s recliner today and took great delight in sitting on it and making it rock.
I am told he saw Grandad going to sit down and raced across the room, pushed Grandad to one side and popped up into the chair.
While he should be more considerate of a man more than seventy years old than him I also believe it was very funny at the time.
There is no doubt that Foozley is missing Nicky while she is in hospital. He absolutely howled when I left him with my Mum. Normally he would be happy enough but I think he might think he running short of parents.
And just generally he doesn’t seem himself without Nicky here. I am please for both of their sakes that I will be taking him to see her tomorrow night.
Light on, light off, light on, light off, light on…
Life will never be the same again.
I would like for Foozley to be all musical like his Mum so I was delighted when he sat down and just started bashing away. Normally we have to prompt him but he was having a hell of a time all of his own volition.
Finn is now very good at things like hands on heads, hands on ears, where’s your nose?, hands on eyes, hands on tummy and hands on bum. Actually he will copy most obvious actions if he is in that mood.
Foozley has been sleeping through for months now but since he has had this cold for the last week he has been waking up at around three each morning. He doesn’t seem unhappy at all and the only way we know is because of the singing we hear through the baby monitor.
But we check on him and set him lying down and bear and dummy intact so he will go back to sleep and he normally does within a half hour or so.
Nicky bought Finn some farm yard animal toys. The other day he picked up the chook and said ee-ey-ee-ey-oh.
A couple of days ago Nicky asked Finn if he would like some medicine for his cold. “yeah” came the reply.
In the car yesterday I stuck my tongue out at Foozley, he likes that sort of thing. And then, for the first time, he stuck his tongue out at me. About five times.
Perhaps none of these are much in themselves but they add up to pattern of great cuteness.
