The Lounge Room Is Mine

29 09 2004

Foozley now has his commando crawling down to a fine art. He crawled up behind Zelda before when we were leaving and she was wanting to go out and even got a touch of said pusscat.

Three barriers keep him in the lounge room normally. However there is the scrabble box to visit, the newspaper for recycling, the CDs on the rack and his friend the DVD player. Much of this is conducted with a block or toy in each hand. I guess it’s best to take toys with you because you never know what they might have at your destination.

Baby Steps

Foozley is crawling confidently although it is still commando crawling. However he loves being helped to his feet and standing up. But today, basically out of nowhere he had learned to put on foot ahead of the other.

It’s a long way from walking on his own but it is a very visible start.

Bullseye

I was holding Foozley up above me and teaching him to fly. And I saw the dribble but it was too late to move him.

Nicky found me cleaning baby slobber out of my ear pretty funny.

People often comment how much Finn looks like Nicky. I thought I might try to turn this tide but I suspect I am mistaken.

Eleven Months Today

15 09 2004

Finn is eleven months old today. It is a rare night that he doesn’t sleep through until about 6.30 or 7. He eats three solid meals a day and had three bottles and some of them are part cow’s milk.

He is commando crawling when he is especially interested in something and is especially interested in pushing over towers of blocks (although not in building them). He has just discovered putting blocks back into their tub and does this quite diligently when the mood takes him.

He is still doing swimming lessons and loves splashing around. He is in his fourth week at his new childcare centre and seems be be going great guns there.

His hearing is much the same as usual and we are looking at getting grommets in his ears to clear the fluid there. This will not fix his permanent loss but there is a good chance he will hear better than he does now.

Only one month until his age is measured in years :-)

Foozle In A Box

I decided to tip up Finn’s indoor cubby and see how he went. I stayed in sight just in case, I know being left in a box is not everyone’s bag.

But he loved it and had a good twenty minutes of giggles in there.

Foozley Means Beans

12 09 2004

On the off chance that this information is useful to historians one day this is the day that Foozley first had baked beans. His lovely Mum reports that they went down well even once they got cold.
