Angelic Looking Kid

This was taken this morning in the bath Finn and I had together.
Foozely was looking at the baby in the mirror and it was all going pretty well. Then unexpectedly he lunged at the baby in the mirror and it head-butted him in retaliation.
He was a bit shocked and it did leave a dull mark but he quick recovered.
Since having his cold Captain Foozle has slipped back into the habit of waking at about 4am each morning.
Because Mark was tired I was on Foozle duty last night and discovered that the boy knows exactly what he wants.
I offered him his dummy. He pushed it away quite forcefully. No, that’s no good.
I offered him some water from a cup (he’d been coughing so I assumed his throat was dry). He let me put the spout in his mouth, then pushed it away. No, that’s the wrong shape. By this time he was starting to scream with frustration.
So we went out to the kitchen and got a bottle from the fridge. As soon as he saw it going round and round in the microwave he was placated.
Once we were back in his room and ensconced in the rocking chair he grabbed the bottle and sucked the formula down like he hadn’t eaten for days.
You may be able to fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool a Foozle at all at 4am.
This morning we noticed that one of the long-awaited top teeth is coming through and the other looks like it is only just days away.
This can only be good for the Boy Attacked By Drool.
We might be jumping the gun but it seemed very much like Finn was waving back at Nicky when we went off for his morning sleep today.
It was very exciting all the same.
Finn is watching The Fimbles on DVD and seems to be really enjoying it. he just looked across at me and gave me a “this is great” look.

Now that Finn is nine months old he -
is obsessed with any remote control.
eats three meals a day.
drink three bottles a day.
laughs at the dogs and is fascinated by Zelda.
goes over night without a bottle.
has a nice clear tummy thanks to the newest cream from the doctor.
can sit up for ages all on his own.
can stand up for about half a minute if you hold his arms.
knows which bits of his favourite books to grab at.
almost never sleeps in the car.
rolls about the places quite quickly.
loves cable of things.
claps his hands when things are going well.
says “ga”, “ma”, “da” and just sometimes “ba”.
The boy went from seven at night to eight this morning without a meal or bottle. He was restless but at least now he seems to be eating properly again. His health is much better although he still officially has a Nose Of Snot. There has been no more chucking which is a Very Good Thing.
